When the invasion of Ukraine began, NHUKR joined with others, responding to the human tragedy of war. Together with volunteers and donors, we set up a refugee shelter, organized the distribution of humanitarian aid, recruited volunteers, provided trauma care, and repaired war-damaged homes.

Our mission
Opening a refugee shelter for people fleeing the war was just the beginning of our work in Ukraine. At NHUKR, we understand rebuilding homes, schools, and churches will take years. We have not waited until the war ends to begin renewing hope.
Our mission is to help Ukrainian people rebuild their homes, see hope renewed after living through the horror of war, and restore the communities they call home.
